your friends and relatives, especially the young ones.

*When: Sunday, Jan 30, 2011, Noon to Nine

*Where: FLOW Operations/Nature Center, 4615 County Hwy C,  Spring Green, WI. (Town of Wyoming)

Enjoy a day of winter fun at this secluded 30-acre property. Horse drawn
sleigh rides, a petting area with a menagerie of animals for the kids, a
warming fire all day at the bonfire site. Enjoy a long distance view of the
Riverway from on top of the bluff. There are areas to cross country ski, snowshoe and go sledding. Trampoline fun inside the barn.

FLOW member Roger Reynolds has fabricated a composting toilet which will be available for you to test. There will be some sleds and snowshoes to share
but please bring your favorite outdoor activity equipment, chairs,
beverages, drinking water. A finger food dish to share would be nice, but
not required. We will utilize a heated part of the building for the food,
socializing and presentation.

4:30-5:30 The Friends of the Lower Wisconsin Riverway (FLOW) “Riverway Champion Award” presented to: David Gjestson.  Dave will share some Riverway history with us. A presentation showing Riverway photos and clips from the new documentary will also be shown.

Amazing Bonfire!  At twilight, discarded Christmas trees will be added to the fire for: Natural Pyrotechnics = 30-foot flames!

Star Gazing with Powerful Telescopes! Solar System Ambassadors will host planet and star gazing.
Directions: County Hwy C is just south of the Wisconsin River off
of State Hwy 23. The property is approximately three miles west of Frank
Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, near Lower Wyoming Road.  Please park your
vehicle along the side of the road and walk up to the building. Contact us
before the event if you think an uphill trek is too difficult and you would
prefer to have a ride up the driveway.

Are you available to help prepare and/or staff the event? If yes, please contact Timm Zumm at 608-575-0325 or email: **
