Prairie Villa Rendezvous is a Fur Trading era environment recreating life as it was in 1840’s when Prairie du Chien was the hub of the fur trading.

The annual Prairie Villa Rendezvous is one of the largest re-enactments in the Midwest, and has been going on since 1976.

This  four-day event is held the third weekend in June and features the a re-creation of life as it was back in the 1840s.

The local Jaycees operate a Buffalo Burger Stand serving real buffalo!

On-going demonstrations at individual camps all during the event such as:

blacksmithing
pottery
weaving
flint knapping
fiddle playing
1700s medical practices
storytelling
longbow making
and more.

Event is free to spectators – You can come and go as you wish.
