1800’s Revival of the Pioneer Era.

Reenactment of pre-1840 fur trade era and pioneer days of the 1800’s with reenactors from Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.

Friday is Education Day. Groups of school children tour the grounds and watch the demonstrations by re-enactors. Each campsite has an historic skill or activity. Many are interactive, giving students a real feel for history. Public and private schools come as a group. Homeschoolers can come alone or with another family or two. Camp is open from 10am-5pm. Education Day Admission: $2 per student or $10 per family. Parents and teachers and chaperones get in free. Lunch is available for sale on the grounds or bring a picnic lunch. Picnic tables available.
