Christmas Every Day

Wanted to give a shout-out to Homeschool Freebie Of The Day for today’s Freebie Friday post…

The Erskine Family runs Homeschool Freebie and provides a different download for FREE on their site every day during the week.  They also create some phenomenally awesome digital and audio resources on their own.

If you’ve been following me (well, okay, there aren’t many of you out there following me) you may have noticed mentioned before.  Jim and the Erskine Family are completely true to their URL; everything on their site is safe for children of all ages.  So you never have to worry about clicking on a download or a video.  I have used many of their resources for supplemental education in our homeschool – and a lot of their stuff is just plain fun.

Check out their site:

Here’s the freebie listed for today — But you’ll have to click the link to their site to get the download.

CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY by William Dean Howells (MP3 audio)

“This is definitely one of the funniest, laugh out loud, classic short stories you’ll ever hear. We guarantee the kids will love it. While this story, which originally appeared in St. Nicholas Magazine in the 1890s, is about  Christmas, it is not exactly a Christmas story… it is more about unintended consequences and what might happen if wishes really did come true, and how some things – like Christmas – can be a bit overdone (hmmm… you think?). A sheer delight for the whole family – HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

Find this and all our other resources from this past week now at

Providing great FREE stuff five days a week.

Sign up for their email list and get subscriber exclusives (like a special bonus every Wednesday) not listed on the site.

Tell them that I sent you.  It won’t mean anything to them of course, but it’ll make me feel good.
