Anne of Green Gables—A Musical, a wholesome and family-oriented production is being presented for a final weekend at Maranatha Baptist Bible College Gymnasium in Watertown. (And a personal friend is playing the part of Diana, Anne’s dear friend.)

Anne of Green Gables—A Musical  returns to Maranatha for the annual college Spring Play, April 12-14 and 19-21, 2012, in the Maranatha Gymnasium.

This beloved production has been performed continuously at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Prince Edward Island since 1965, making it the longest-running mainstage musical in Canada.

It is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel about the irrepressible Anne Shirley, a Canadian orphan. During her search for “a kindred spirit,” Anne attempts to win over her new family, the Cuthberts, and the other skeptical residents of Avonlea. Carol Senn Ruffin will direct this humorous and heartwarming musical, last seen on the Maranatha stage in 2000.

Performances are at 7 each night. There are also 2 p.m. matinees on April 14 and 21 and an 11:30 a.m. performance April 12 for school groups.
Tickets are $9, or $7.50 for students and senior citizens (65 and older). Tickets for the April 12 school group performance are $5.
Call Guest Relations (920-206-2370) from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday to reserve tickets or reserve online.

The excitement of the homeschooled Sleepy Man Banjo Boys performing live for the Grand Finale of the Cincinnati Convention this year

April 19 -21 / Duke Energy Convention Center / Cincinnati, Ohio

Registration is STILL Available at the Door

Nine year-old banjo picker Jonny Mizzone along with his brothers Robbie (13) on fiddle, and Tommy (14) on guitar, are The Sleepy Man Banjo Boys. Though their combined age is younger than music’s Hip-Hop era, it’s the 1950’s music of Flatt & Scruggs & The Stanley Brothers that inspires them. The Sleepy Man Banjo Boys are the result of brotherly-love, and a passion for inspiring others with their God-given musical gifts. – Colossians 3:17 –
