This concert will feature the talents of Daniel Ray, Susanna Ray, and Ryan Baldridge, performing on violin, cello, and piano, respectively.
It’s a chance for you to hear classical music from the baroque era to the mid 20th century.
Admission is free; donations will be appreciated.
On August 16, you will hear from their repertoire as they present the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninov, and Ramiro Cortes.
Why this concert?
The answer is two-fold.
First, it provides these three talented musicians the opportunity to perform many of the pieces they have worked on in recent months. Such opportunities are somewhat rare since most classical concerts in this area are studio recitals which, while certainly very helpful for students, do not generally take place in the summer and provide mainly the opportunity to perform for friends and family.
The second reason is that they desire to provide local communities with diverse and well crafted performances of classical music. As many of you know, this is not the first Classical Community Concert. In 2011 young musicians came together to perform in the first of these concerts in Richland Center. It is believed that this classical concert was the first of its kind in the Richland Center community. Since then, there have been other concerts in Richland Center and Westby featuring the talents of young musicians and the works of renowned classical composers such as Bach, Haydn, Mozart, and Dvorak.
Come share an evening of rich classical music.
