Kwik Books is a free reading incentive program offered by Kwik Trip, Incorporated for preschool through 6th grade students.
Here’s how it can work if you are a homeschool family in our area…
Homeschooled students preschool through 6th grade are eligible to participate in the Kwik Books Program through our Southwest Wisconsin Homeschool Group Enrollment.
Each child meeting the monthly reading goal is rewarded – by the homeschool parent/teacher, with a certificate for a FREE
slice of Cheese Mountain Pizza, available at any Kwik Trip or Kwik Star store. *** Please Note Program Change for 2014-15 from a slice of Cheese Mountain Pizza to a Kitchen Cravings® Cheeseburger or Chicken Sandwich.
The reading goal for our group enrollment is for each child to read (or be read to) a minimum of two extra hours (i.e., not part of daily schoolwork) during the month.
The program runs from September 1st through May 31st.
You may sign-up at any time during the year.
Here’s what you need to do to participate in Kwik Books as a homeschooler through Southwest Wisconsin Homeschools:
1) Send an email – Specify the months in which you will participate in the program and include the names and ages/grades * preschool through 6th graders are eligible* of your child(ren) participating in the program, your contact information (address/phone), and your homeschool group (if any).
2) You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.
3) You will need to mail a stamped self-addressed business-size envelope – one for each child participating. Your certificates will be mailed back to you as soon as possible in the envelopes that you provide.
Say yay, for reading!
More … Most parents are interested in the ingredients of the food they give their children. As a courtesy for those who wish to see the ingredients and nutrition information, we have the following sheet from Kwik Trip’s website for their cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches: Kwik Trip Nutrition Info – Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich
