Once a year, all manner of talented artists who live and create in the Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin, northeastern Iowa, southeastern Minnesota, and northwestern Illinois, gather together at the Driftless Area Art Festival.

While visual artists have already been juried in, and the art festival is now full…

There is still time for young artists, ages 5 to 19, to participate in the KidsArt Gallery and the Teen Art Gallery.

The KidsArt Gallery is a popular feature of the Driftless Area Art Festival.  The purpose of the KidsArt program is to applaud and encourage the creativity of area students.  The Kids’ Creativity Zone makes the tent a popular destination.

The work of elementary and middle school students from all parts of the Driftless Area is invited.  Art teachers and clubs can organize joint submissions, or students can submit independently.

Art works can be entered through school art programs, private art programs, or individually.

All pieces submitted are exhibited and there’s no fee for participating.

KidsArt Gallery entry forms are due May 30, 2015.

Teen Art Gallery

In 2011 the Driftless Area Art Festival began a new tradition, the inclusion of the work of high school artists. This is a remarkable opportunity to exhibit and be presented as an experienced artist. There is no entry fee for this show, and it is an easy opportunity to exhibit and get involved with the local artist community.

“We’re really proud of the work exhibited in the Teen Art Gallery,” said Anne Tedeschi, coordinator of the Teen Art Gallery. “The young artists who exhibit their work show amazing talent, and we hope to encourage them to continue creating their art.”

Teen Art Gallery entry forms are due by August 15, 2015.
