WEST CENTRAL EAGLES RUNNING CLUB
We’d like to invite you to be a part of our club. Our club prepares students to compete in cross country (XC). XC is a challenging sport that requires commitment and consistency. Benefits of XC include; great friends, hard work, increased fitness level, competition, lifelong skill, conditioning for winter sports, etc.
Club info: We are a local Home School Cross Country Team that trains twice a week in Sparta and competes in local WIAA XC Meets. Our season is 9 weeks long. Practice begins the middle of August. We have a total of 12 practices, 7 high school meets, and 6 middle school meets. Our last meet is a WI Home School XC Championship race in Madison. High School runners are encouraged to begin regular training on their own beginning in early July, middle school runners should begin training in early August.
Club specifics: This program is open to homeschoolers in 7 – 12 grade. Club Fee is $45, which includes a club owned uniform. Other costs incurred by some of our team members in the past have included: Good quality running shoes ($60-120); WCE tshirt, sweatshirt, etc ($10 – $30 ea); Championship tshirt ($10); end of season booklet ($14); gas, etc to practice and meets ($ varies).
Check out our website: www.westcentraleagles.com Look for our schedule and for our booklet to get a feel about who we are as a club.
