The Wisconsin State Nursery Program offers a free seedling to all 4th grade students in Wisconsin each year to celebrate Arbor Day. You will either need to pick up your seedlings at one of the 3 state nurseries or arrange to have it shipped to a central location in your county. More details are available on their web site. This years seedling will be a sugar maple, our state tree.
